Dr. Hayes joined Radiology Associates of Hollywood from the Iris Cantor Breast Imaging Center at UCLA.  In addition to being an experienced general radiologist, Dr. Hayes has extensive knowledge of, and expertise in, breast MRI, imaging, implants and tumor staging.  She has past experience as Chief of Radiology and is the Medical Director of Women’s Imaging at Memorial Healthcare System Hospitals (Memorial Regional, Memorial West, Memorial Pembroke, Memorial Miramar, and Memorial Regional South hospitals).  These centers have been awarded “Centers of Excellence” by the American College of Radiology (ACR).  All imaging sites, physicians, technologists, and equipment are credentialed by the ACR and FDA.

Our centers receive annual support for patient care from the Susan G. Komen Foundation.  Dr. Hayes has also been recipient of the “Spirit of Healing Award” in 2009 and is a member of the American College of Radiology Breast Committee on Appropriateness Guidelines and serves as chair of the  Guidelines and Standards Breast Imaging Writing Committee.  She has been awarded research grants from the National Institutes of Health, Hologic, Inc, and Naviscan, Inc.  Imaging research projects include Digital Tomosynthesis Mammography in patients with breast implants, screening mammography patients, and biopsy patients. The latter two Digital Tomosynthesis Trials are multi-center trials led by the Massachusetts General Hospital group at Harvard University and opened enrollment in 2010.  PEM (Pet Mammography) imaging research is actively conducted as well.

Dr. Hayes works with a team of 13 fellowship-trained, dedicated Breast Imaging Radiologists.  This highly experienced team works closely to diagnose and treat breast cancer patients at the earliest, most treatable stages.   Over 700 new breast cancer patients are diagnosed at our centers each year.  Our breast radiologist team works closely with expert interdisciplinary physicians: dedicated breast surgeons, plastic surgeons, breast medical oncologists, breast pathologists, breast genetics high risk program, nutritionists, massage and complementary medicine to provide treatment to each individual patient and her needs.
