Dr. Raphael joined RAH in 2014, assuming dual roles as Chief of Nuclear Medicine for Memorial Healthcare System and Medical Director of PET Imaging Institute of South Florida (PIISF). She is a Radiologist who is board certified in both Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, with fellowship training in oncologic and molecular imaging.

Dr. Raphael received her medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. She subsequently completed a Nuclear Medicine residency at Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Center (NY) and Diagnostic Radiology residency at Hospital of Cook County (IL), where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. She also completed two fellowships in Nuclear Oncology (PET/CT), and Body Imaging at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. In 2012, she joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s faculty as a member of the Molecular Imaging and Therapy Service.

Dr. Raphael collaborates closely with medical oncologists, surgeons, and pathologists to optimize accurate diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care of patients with cancer. She believes in “giving back” and has been involved with mentorship activities stressing the importance and potentials of Radiology in the community. Dr Raphael is an active member of the RSNA and SNMMI.
