Biography

Avner Yemin, M.D. is a graduate of the University of Florida and received his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honors society. He completed his Diagnostic Radiology training at New York University where he subsequently stayed for Musculoskeletal Imaging fellowship. Dr. Yemin joined Radiology Associates of Hollywood (RAH) in July 2016 and is currently the Musculoskeletal Section Chief at RAH and for the Memorial Healthcare System. He has co-authored multiple scientific articles in medical journals, including Skeletal Radiology and the American Journal of Roentgenology as well as a recent book chapter in The Shoulder: Imaging Diagnosis with Treatment Implications. He has also presented his research at several national and international conferences.

Dr. Yemin was the recipient of the NYU Department of Radiology Fellow of the Year award in 2015 for exemplary teaching. In addition to his clinical duties Dr. Yemin enjoys teaching medical students and residents and provides Musculoskeletal Radiology resident board reviews, both locally and nationally.

He is board-certified, and his areas of interest includes Sports Medicine imaging and Pediatric Musculoskeletal Radiology. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, Florida Radiology Society and Radiological Society of North America.

In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities, basketball, and travel with his wife and children.
