Biography

Dr. Benjamin Freedman is a veteran physician leader who, since 2011, has served as Chief of Radiology for the Memorial Healthcare System (MHS), a public, non-profit, nationally recognized hospital system, and as leader of Radiology Associates of Hollywood, a 69-physician subspecialized Radiology Partners practice and the exclusive provider of imaging and radiation oncology services to MHS for seven decades.

His distinguished career is marked by clinical expertise in diagnostic imaging and numerous leadership roles throughout his affiliated organizations. Dr. Freedman’s collaborative style, charismatic demeanor and proactive approach to problem-solving

make him a highly soughtafter member or chair of many clinical and administrative committees. Notable roles include Chief of Staff at Memorial Regional Hospital, a tertiary care 800-bed facility with a medical staff of 1,500 members and Chairman of the Memorial Health Network, a clinically integrated health system leader providing value-based care to more than 300,000 people.

A summa cum laude graduate of Yeshiva College and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society graduate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Freedman completed his Radiology residency and Musculoskeletal MRI-focused fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center.

In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Freedman contributes to pre- and post-graduate medical education as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, FIU, and an Affiliate Assistant Professor at The Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine, FAU.

Dr. Freedman is deeply involved in the community and commits time and resources to making a positive impact beyond the medical field. Current and past leadership roles on the Boards of community institutions include Katz Hillel Day School of Boca Raton and national and local philanthropic organizations, such as the Palm Beach chapter of the Jewish National Fund and the Memorial and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation.
